A “compelling” novel of humanity fighting back against telepathically linked killers in a postapocalyptic world (Library Journal).
A quarter of a millennium ago, before the nuclear apocalypse forced the inhabitants of earth to flee their home planet, few humans could have imagined the course their path would take. Now, the orbital colonies are the final sanctuary of humanity and life is more dangerous than ever before. The colonists fear the return of their dreaded enemies, the Paratwa—ferocious warriors who are genetically engineered to exist in two bodies which remain telepathically connected. The new generation of Paratwa is far deadlier than the old, forming a powerful caste of fighter known as the Ash Ock. A mysterious virus infecting the humans database signals the return of their most feared enemies…

Enjoyable after a fairly arduous first book. Ultimately the horizon expanded to encompass some interesting concepts and bigger ideas. Not great - good.Product details

Ash Ock Paratwa Book 2 eBook Christopher Hinz Reviews
A very good continuation of the first book. This one doesn't end as neatly as the first but, as the second book in a trilogy, I don't see a problem with that.
The conclusion of a favorite trilogy. The conversion was very well done.
Part of a set of 3 novels that play with some interesting concepts and have fun exploring them. Twists and turns to keep you guessing right up to the last part of the last book.
Inspired, imo, by the success of the Tolkien trilogy, today's writers seem to have decided to spread one story over three (or more) books. Why sell just one book when you can create a lucrative career by selling multiple books (priced separately, of course). Just reuse the same plot and characters are respin the same scenarios, no need to do too much original thinking.
Authors either throw in bizarre plot twists or just throw in variations on a previous theme. Ash Ock (Paratwa Book 2) falls into the latter category. I would rate the first book as at best a 3.5/5, but the second in the series is totally predictable. I kept waiting for the plot to develop, but the book came to an end before that happened. This book is no better than a two out of five. Being significantly shorter than Book 1, I felt like I was short-changed even in terms of killing time.
I wish that I had just skipped this book and gone to Book 3, since this book added little to the story. But I can't say for sure that this would be a good strategy, as I have no intention of coughing up my hard-earned dough for Book 3. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.
excellent read
Enjoyed this book very much.
if you are mildy interested in SIFI...get the trilogy!
it's like dan browns books..u cannot put them down.
this trilogy is smart...intellectual...has enormous scope and width. , ...good t character development and doesn't treat u like a mindless idiot.
actully u ha]d better pay attention tot he details as u might overlook some small remarks which make a big difference int he plot.
i actually have read the while trilogy 3 times. i am finally reading it in the digital world and like it just s much.
i wish one day they make a movie from it
